Welcome to my blog, Deep South Teaching!
My name is Jenny Holloway, and I have been an educator for 13 years. I graduated from Mississippi State University in 2003, and I'm now pursuing my Master of Education degree at William Carey University. I am currently a 4th grade ELA teacher in Madison, Mississippi.
My husband, Ryan, and I are the parents of 3 awesome kids, 8.5 year old twins who are in 3rd grade, and a 3.5 year old who loves preschool. In my rare free time, I design stationery and invitations, cook, read, sew, and spend quality time with my family.
I became a blogger in 2005 when it was a very new concept. I blogged about my family and life with twins. Over time, it was hard to keep it updated, and so I eventually let it go by the wayside. I'm happy to still have my original blog to look back at for wonderful memories. I also had a blog for my stationery designs back in the beginning of my little business. I was able to share my work with people from many different states and take orders as well.
Now, I am venturing back into blogging so that I may use a blog in my classroom. I've always wanted to use a blog for my students and their parents as well as have a place to share the documents and activities I create for teaching. I hope this blog will become that place. Thanks for coming along for the ride!
